Sahadeva is one of the twin sons of Madri and Pandu. He is the incarnation of twin gods named Aswin, the God of medicine. His twin brother is named Nakula, who is bigger than him, and is the incarnation of Dewa Aswin as well. After his parents died, he and his brother were raised by Kunti, another wife of Pandu. Sahadeva is a very diligent and wise person. Sahadeva is also someone who is an expert in astronomy. Yudhisthira once said that Sahadeva was a wise man, equal to Wrehaspati, the teacher of the gods. He works hard and loves to serve his brothers.
